The National Weather Service is telling northeast Colorado residents to brace for potential severe weather this afternoon.
According to the NWS’s hazardous weather outlook, the northeast plains, as well as the mountains and foothills, face a slight chance of afternoon and early evening thunderstorms. These storms may produce gusty winds of up to 40 mph, small hail and brief rain showers.
